Sand Creek Shepherds is a trusted German Shepherd breeder offering ethically bred, versatile dogs for families, military, law enforcement, and veterans. We prioritize health, temperament, and trainability-providing loyal companions, working K9s, and service dogs with guaranteed quality.
Our Family
Hi there—we’re Kyle and Candace, high school sweethearts who built a life together centered around faith, family, and animals. We live on a large working cattle ranch, where our days are filled with kids, critters, and chaos—and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We have one beautiful (and delightfully shy) daughter, Keila, and two high-energy boys, Deklyn and Daxton, who are usually found riding their dirt bikes and exploring every inch of the land. Alongside our German Shepherds, we share our ranch with cattle, horses, pigs, donkeys, cats, and our other dogs—Drover the cattle dog and Milo the mischievous corgi. Every animal here is a part of our family, raised with love, purpose, and plenty of fresh air.
Our Philosophy
When we decided to breed German Shepherds, we made a promise to do it differently. Our dogs are not kennel-raised or bred back-to-back—they are family members first and always will be. They eat high-quality food, sleep on cozy beds, and roam multiple fenced acres outside our home. We see their true personalities every day—in how they interact with our kids, with each other, and with us. That’s the kind of transparency we want to give every family looking for a puppy: dogs raised in a real-world family environment, not a cage.
We also want to be transparent about our breeding process: we do not own our own males. Instead, we carefully select outside studs that meet our highest standards for temperament, health, structure, and lineage. We look for dogs who complement our females, not just physically, but in attitude and drive—studs that will help produce balanced, intelligent, and reliable offspring suited for both family life and working roles.
We don’t breed for profit—we breed with intention, quality, and ethics because we truly believe in the beauty, loyalty, and purpose of this incredible breed. Our goal is to share the joy of owning a well-bred German Shepherd with families who will love and respect them as much as we do. Every litter is thoughtfully planned, and every puppy is raised with care, so they can grow into the exceptional companions they’re meant to be.
Our Promise
We’re a small, hands-on operation with big hearts and high standards. We do not breed our dogs every year. Our dogs work hard through pregnancy and nursing, and they deserve time to rest, recover, and enjoy their lives. When our girls retire, they stay right here, lounging in the sunshine, stealing snacks, and getting belly rubs from the kids. We believe in lifelong commitment, and that extends to the puppies we place. Every puppy comes with a signed contract that requires the dog to be returned to us if, for any reason, a buyer can no longer keep them. We screen every home, we get to know our buyers, and we match each puppy intentionally based on personality and fit—not just looks.
We don’t take shortcuts, and we don’t take this responsibility lightly. From the very first bath before pickup to the blanket rubbed with mama’s scent, we do everything we can to give your puppy a happy, confident start. We hope when you leave with your new companion, you feel the same love we’ve poured into raising them—and that your experience with us is one you’ll look back on with joy for years to come.
